Mother's Day

Being a Mother is a difficult, beautiful, and necessary art. It's the mother who needs to grow in spirit so she can find the fortitude she needs to accomplish her mission in God. In whom does a child think first when it is in trouble? A true Mother will always go on being a Mother although years go by and the child will become a grownup, no matter how old the child will be, it will still be her child, and she will still watch over him, and she will go on thinking where it is or if it already came home, she will go on suffering for it if it missed its way, and she will always be ready to offer it a new chance.

Being a Mother is a difficult, beautiful, and necessary art. "Mom" is the one who brings balance to our home. She's the one who needs to love herself in order to love, the one who always must search for serenity because if she is upset everyone at home will be upset too.

It's the mother who needs to grow in spirit so she can find the fortitude she needs to accomplish her mission in God, it is she who many times will be pushed to go on, with no fear in spite of all setbacks.

A mother is the one who never "rests" from her children, she's the one who understands better than anyone that her children are a sign of God's confidence in Man, as he gives her a new life so she can raise it and help it to grow.

The mother is the one who teaches her children to love, because she loves them as they are and because they are her children. Caring for good behaviour is important to a mother, but she will love her child just because it is her child and not because it is well behaved.

It's the mother who always will know how to have a different viewpoint in the family, through which she will be able to tell which of her children is more in need at that particular moment.

In whom does a child think first when it is in trouble? In the Mother.

To whom does it turn to when it feels sick? To the Mother.

Who will be the first person to run and see why it is crying? His Mother.

A mother's heart does not stop thinking of her child, no matter how old it is not the ways it has taken, whe will always have some place to remember it and to silently pray to God to protect it.

It is good for us sons and daughters to remember our Mother, to ask God to give us a heart, a feeling, a look similar to hers, to be able to think of, to listen to, to watch over, and to suffer for those whom we love.

On this day, how could we not think of our Heavenly Mother, the Virgin Mary, the one who brought us Jesus, the one who cares and walks with all her children, particularly with those who have no terrenal mother so she can get them close to Jesus and who covers all her children under her robe of love and tenderness.

Let us pray that the Virgin Mary, the Mother of Mothers, may give all Mothers fortitude, comfort, enlightenment, and recognition for all they do for their children, and that the latter find in them an example to follow.
