The Truth of Resurrection

It's Easter! Jesus has risen. It is the great truth of our Faith and the very grounds of our Faith. Jesus' Resurrection is the basis of our faith because Jesus offered His own resurrection as the mayor proof of both His mediation and divinity. The Risen Jesus goes on living in the Church, in us who are parts of it, in our lives, in our gestures, in our words. Today we must be witnesses of this great truth of Resurrection in order to show the world a way of renewed hope.

It's Easter! Jesus has risen. It is the great truth of our Faith and the very grounds of our Faith.

Jesus' Resurrection is a historical fact. And above all it is also a truth of faith, which by definition will never be understood by simple reasoning.

Faith means believing in what we cannot see, because Got has disclosed it. We do not believe in scientific conclusions, but in the very Word of God.

Faith is a free virtue. God offers us solid arguments, but no mathematical arguments since if they existed, the freedom in believing would be lost since what can be scientifically proven and checked is not faith in the sense of “believing without seeing”.

On the other hand, human beings will always find arguments which justify our “unbelieving” which deep down may be no other thing than the wish of not committing to Faith as we are asked to.

If believing in the truth of faith and the acceptance of God depended on a truth such as “two plus two is four”, whoever does not want to believe would make sure he could show that maybe two plus two doesn't make four but any other number which would allow him to “run away from God” without accepting Him.

The Faith in Jesus' Resurrection, the basis of all our Christian faith, is a truth we don't accept by proof although many times we run into solid arguments which God offers us in order to stand firm in this faith.

Jesus' Resurrection is the basis of our faith because Jesus offered His own resurrection as the mayor proof of both His mediation and divinity.

The Resurrection of Jesus is the groundwork of our hope since it warrants that at the end of our lives there is not death but eternal life, as glorious as the one of Christ. Thus the way wewalk does not lead to death, but to eternal life.

It's Easter, Jesus has risen, it is true!, and thus we have a groundwork of many signs which we see daily through the many people who believe, who renew their closeness and commitment to God, and by the Word of God which has announced us the great truth for many centuries, and still does so, not just committing our life, but giving it a sense of fulness and Happiness.

The Risen Jesus goes on living in the Church, in us who are parts of it, in our lives, in our gestures, in our words. Today we must be witnesses of this great truth of Resurrection in order to show the world a way of renewed hope.
