Truth

We Christians are called to be witnesses of Truth.
... even when times "change" as people frequently argue, those values referring to Man and his dignity always remain, and do not change because some circumstances do.
... the Church must always make manifest what God had in mind when he established an order in Nature so that all men could live with the dignity the Creator himself has established.

We Christians are called to be witnesses of Truth.

We have a concept of the World, of Man, of society, which is what God thought when he planned the world and put Man upon Earth.

As Church we have something to say to others about subjects of great significance such as family, society, the dignity of the human being. Those who think or expect that the Church, that is us, should not "meddle" with these subjects are wrong, they expect us not to oppose when there are attitudes, laws, behaviors which are contrary to what God had in mind when he made the World, and even when times "change" as people frequently argue, those values referring to Man and his dignity always remain, and do not change because some circumstances do.

Today there is a a strong rejection when certain subjects which refer to the teaching of the Church are touched, even by some believers who do not understand clearly what the Truth is: let's just think of talking about the indissolubility of marriage, freedom of teaching, the doctrine about transmission of human life, on issues about social justice, exceeding expenditures, wrong distribution of wealth, unfair wages...

All these subjects referring to decent life of the human being must be discussed and the Church must always make manifest what God had in mind when he established an order in Nature so that all men could live with the dignity the Creator himself has established.

We must never keep quiet due to cowardice or to convenience, we must never allow uncertainty or outrage about subjects which refer to the deepest of Man: his life, his dignity, his Faith.

Veraciousness must lead us to being honest, in first place with ourselves, to keep a clear conscience, not to allow to tarnish it with error, with ignorance, nor with fear of getting more deeply into the personal demands Truth comes with.

We must be truthful with ourselves with the help of God's Grace, so we can be truthful with God and lead a clear life full of peace and fortitude.

In a world where so many times plenty of people choose lies and make-believe as their customary way of life, we Christians must be people who walk with Truth, who take flight of even the smallest lies.

Pope Paul VI said ... "how much feebleness, how much opportunism, how much conformism, how much vileness!", when referring to those "good people who forget the beauty and the seriousness of the commitments which bind them to the Church".

We must reject all that has to do with falsehood, therefore, we must act in truth, clarity, and sincerity without double meanings or ambiguity, we must act truthfully in our everyday personal relationships, at work, in our family, at school, and in positions of public opinion if we have access to these. We must not reply to a lie with another lie, since our strength is in God who is pure Truth and, as the Lord said, Truth, living according to Truth, will make us completely free.
