To end with hunger, with need, with the critical social situation that nurtures discord and domestic violence, to end with marginality and mendacity, to bridge differences, are objectives difficult to meet overnight, mainly because they originate from various structural and situational problems.

Preparing the Feast of Gratitude

A dining hall is not enough to solve a situation in which half of the country’s population is submerged and where those who suffer most are the less protected. A Welfare State is not the solution.

That is why Felices los Niños Foundation has created a number of institutions that accompany those who are most in need towards attaining self-improvement. Don Bosco’s Preventive System is our guide. The homes and schools, each with their own modality, not only offer food, but also education, workshops, training, job prospects, small undertakings, spiritual guide, clothing, lodging, and health as a bridge between unresolved need and its solution.

Works are not simply buildings. When we talk about the Works at the Foundation, we refer to their content, to the emotional and spiritual aspects of a community that lives and pulses for the children, for youth, for pregnant adolescents and their babies, for women at risk, for all those who need us.

There is hunger not only for food but also for justice, equity, education, love. Help us be the bridge to overcome hopelessness.
