Padre Pío Day Care Center

On July 9, 2005 the Padre Pío Day Care Center was opened in Hurlingham (Morón Bishopric). It is located opposite to settlements of Paraguayan and Bolivian immigrants who live in makeshift dwellings on the Hurlingham border, opposite to Barrio Obligado. The home assists those more in need in this area of Greater Buenos Aires, which lacks the necessary basic welfare services and schools which could improve the standard of living of this area's population both in material as in spiritual aspects.

The Padre Pio Residential School is being built thanks to donations coming from Italy. It will comprise a primary school and a kindergarten, in order to assist this needy population.

Casa de Caridad Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Day Care Center

Inaugurating the Home

Surrounded by the fields of the I.N.T.A. Castelar – National Institute of Farming Technology – is the El Ñandú Settlement, in the Hurlingham District, where the Foundation has set up the Casa de Caridad Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Day Care Center.

This home has been operating since January 6^th 1999, from Monday through Saturday, providing assistance to needy persons from the nearby “2 de Abril” Settlement. Children, women who are pregnant or have babies, and elderly people, attend the center.

At the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús day care breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided, along with religious instruction and a series of workshops on Plastic Arts, Crochet Knitting, Vegetable Gardening, Pastry Making, Cold Porcelain Making, and Chinese Basketwork.

Father Jordán Ostojic from Nuestra Señora del Carmen Parish Church says mass and holds christenings for those attending the home.
