Poverty does not wait, and has no frontiers either. In the face of the social crisis that has been scourging Argentina for many years and the lack of structural solutions to such an alarming situation, many NGOs -non-governmental organizations- have been compelled to fulfil a role that it was formerly the Government’s. The Felices los Niños Foundation has felt committed not to turn its back on our brothers in the Argentine provinces.

Social exclusion affects the Argentine population throughout the country. The provinces have all been afflicted by social inequality and their towns attest to high rates of poverty, social exclusion and school attrition. Children are the most destitute of all, as they have to leave their future aside and are forced into street begging or child labor.

In view of this situation we have extended our presence to several Argentine provinces, where we felt we were most needed and we could build a network of social containment with a strong local influence and deep professional and pastoral convictions.
