San Martín de Porres Day Care Center

FEATURES:

The San Martín de Porres Day Care Center is situated just a few meters away from San Martín station, belonging to the former Mitre railway line.

It is open from Monday through Friday to provide assistance to children from the slums near the San Martín railway station and from other slums in the area. This center is networked with the San Roque Mobile Team, the Foundation’s team that works with street children at the railway stations belonging to T.B.A., a railway concessionaire of the Sarmiento and Mitre railway lines.

The San Martín de Porres center is attended by children and teenagers between 6 and 19 years old. The building used to be a power plant. Today it has been refurbished as a reference center for abandoned children who seek social reintegration

The home provides remedial teaching, physical education and workshops on Handicrafts, Vegetable Gardening, and Sewing.
